Redbridge bought out a company originally belonging to Ross Whitehead and his partner three years ago, and made the pair redundant in February of this year – which Whitehead believes was because the company was unhappy about the pair being a couple in their private lives. The duo saw 'justice done' in a court case lasting two days.

Whitehead told the Journal: 'We got booted out the back door. They walked in one morning and fired me for no reason. There was nothing I could do at the time, they said they were making me redundant but there was no redundancy situation. We saw a basic redundancy payout, but after the court case it cost Redbridge £22,000 and that's what we were awarded for loss of earnings.'
