Redbridge AFI pulled down its shutters for the last time on Western International Market this week, officially closing on Wednesday.
The wholesaler will not be moving across to the new site, adjacent to the existing market, which is due to open in the late spring.
George Bray, chairman of the tenants’ association, told FPJ: “Redbridge AFI chose not to move across to the new market, and its stand on the new site has been auctioned off for a lot of money.”
The space that had been allocated to Redbridge AFI on the new market has been won by two firms on the existing market, WT Hill Ltd and Dhillon Farms Veg Ltd.
