Red Tractor drives into City

Duncan Allison of Allison Risebro was among the attendees of a day held to promote Red Tractor Assurance to City slickers.

Caterer Elior UK showed its commitment to Red Tractor Assurance this month by hosting an awareness day for the London office employees of global law firm Baker & McKenzie at its F3 Restaurant.

Prepared by executive chef, Adam Davenport, the lunch showed full support of the food assurance scheme with a special menu featuring a host of dishes from certified Red Tractor sources including seasonal vegetables.

Duncan Allison of Allison Risebro underlined the benefits of Red Tractor Assurance to Baker & McKenzie employees.

The Red Tractor is a mark of assurance that shows the food or drink product meets strict standards of food safety, environmental protection and animal welfare. The Union Jack flag featured in the logo highlights a guarantee of origin in the UK.

Duncan Allison of Allison Risebro said: “I was delighted to be part of the Red Tractor awareness day as it gave me a chance to demonstrate to the staff at Baker & McKenzie the importance of high quality, seasonal, local produce. For Allison Risebro, our Red Tractor licence offers a way to demonstrate to the industry that our products are produced to approved standards and are fully traceable.”

Davenport said: “Every chef wants to cook with fresh, locally sourced ingredients - it’s a no brainer. Red Tractor enables chefs to achieve this, and more importantly, reassures customers that when they see the Red Tractor mark they are consuming a first-class product. I’m looking to increase the number of Red Tractor products on our menu over the next 12 months and would encourage others to do the same.”
