Albert Bartlett’s Anne Rodgers said: “Our variety development programme continues to deliver fantastic new varieties which enhance the customer offer and allow us to attract new people to the fresh potato fixture.
“Taste is a must and Apache certainly are full of flavour, combined with additional health and convenience benefits of cooking them in their skin. I think they will be particularly popular with younger consumers looking for ease of preparation.”
The potato itself has a red skin, and light yellow flesh, delivering a fantastic flavour and fluffy texture making it a fantastic all-rounder suitable for baking, mashing, roasting and steaming.
The packs feature recipes by Michelin Star chefs Andrew Fairlie (Gleneagles) and Michel Roux Jnr (Le Gavroche), delivering culinary inspiration to customers.
