Rectory Food Group has created a new ingredients division sourcing extensive volumes of fresh produce.

Rectory Foods Ingredients is to source an extensive range of fresh produce from around the globe and supply to food manufacturers and processors.

The new division offers a comprehensive portfolio of food ingredients including Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) fruits and vegetables, seeds and pulses, garlic and ginger and dehydrated products such as chilli, onion, mushrooms, peppers and tomatoes.

There are 50 primary products in the division, with sub- categories for each product, resulting in around 100 lines in total.

The ingredients are available, both for branded and own label foods, direct from head office and via a network of wholesalers and distributors.

All products can be supplied in a range of quantities and packaging from 680kg bulk containers to retail packs and own label, subject to volume.

While the food industry has experienced price hikes on certain ingredients, Rectory Food Group claims it is able to offer savings by offering competitive prices.

Divisional director Matthew Armitage: “This is a very positive move for Rectory Food Group as it means we now have a dedicated division for Ingredients. We have conservatively targeted sales of £5 million in our first year but I would like to think that we will exceed those predictions.

“We rigorously check the quality of all raw material, monitor all processing facilities and analyse the finished product to ensure it meets the quality demanded in the UK.”
