Fresh produce recruitment specialist Grade One is to close after 14 years of trading.
The husband of founder Victoria Gipps is suffering from a terminal brain tumour and Gipps has taken the decision to devote all of her attention to him and their teenage children. The business will close this week.
Gipps issued a short statement thanking clients and candidates for their support. "The decision to close the business has been very difficult - but a protracted family illness means I can no longer devote to our clients, the time, energy and passion which they deserve,” she said.
“I have loved working in such a vibrant, progressive and dynamic industry but my priority now must be to those even closer to me. I am proud of the reputation we have earned and thank our clients and candidates for their loyalty and support."
