Cambridge-based Anglia Business Solutions has announced a record 2008 trading year with a 25 per cent increase in turnover.

The company, who supply technology to fresh produce companies, cited the success of the company’s longer-term investments in its unique technologies plus the rapid growth of Microsoft Dynamics in the mid-range business solutions market.

Managing director David Hurley said: “2007 was an exceptional expansion year for the business. However, the 2008 results have been even more impressive. We implemented 14 new end-to-end business management solutions throughout the year and won two national awards.

“We also made further significant investments in our unique mobility and LINKFresh technologies. These have provided our customers with major productivity gains which have helped them compete in today’s hostile economic environment. The company is now set for further expansion during 2009.

“The fresh food market in particular faces the challenges of increased quality demands, product traceability and downward pressure on margins. The excellent work we have done in packaging the Dynamics NAV system to meet these challenges has highlighted what can be achieved using the recent advances in modern technology. Despite the prevailing economic gloom, we continue to recruit to meet the growing demand for these innovative world class applications,” he said.
