A new book has been launched to encourage people to eat more raw fresh produce.
Sticking to a diet of raw produce is good for the planet as well as our health, according to Eat More Raw by Steve Charter.
In the book, he presents practical, philosophical and nutritional information about all food groups, highlighting reasons for eliminating processed foods, meat and dairy from our diet and replacing them with more vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds.
He outlines the transition involved in adopting a lifestyle based on permaculture and sustainability, and he lists the rewards of swapping a dependency on food processing, packaging, drug and illness industries for a healthier, happier and more ecologically sound life.
The book also contains raw food recipes as well as a list of seed suppliers and food harvest times to assist in home-growing our own food supplies.
