Purfresh has appointed Tom Justmann as pre-harvest business director for North America and Europe.
The provider of clean solutions for food and water, formerly known as Novazone Inc, intends to make the most of the growing market for sun protection products these regions.
Justmann joins Purfresh with more than 30 years’ experience in the agriculture and life sciences fields, with companies including Makhteshim-Agan, the largest off-patent supplier of crop protection products in the world, as well as Arysta Lifescience Corporation and American Cyanamid Company.
Purfresh president and ceo David Cope said: “With global food production concerns on the rise, the food industry needs new solutions for protecting and enhancing crops in order to maximise yields, while maintaining quality. Our team of scientists and chemists has been developing new products that address conditions in the field, particularly solar stress and water utilisation - two major factors that affect the bottom line. Tom’s 30 years of industry experience in management and specialty crop operations will be a vital asset as we expand the pre-harvest side of our business.”
