Consumers will vote for this year’s Re:fresh Multiple Retailer of the Year Award.

In a first for the event, the decision on who is crowned best fresh produce supermarket is being handed over to the public, with a Mumsnet consumer panel being asked which store provides the best quality, range and value for money in the fruit and vegetable aisle.

The results will be announced on 10 October at the Intercontinental Park Lane Hotel in London during the Re:fresh Awards, which will be hosted by TV chef James Martin.

Chairman of the Re:fresh judging panel, Nigel Jenney, said: “We made this change to give the public the chance to have their say on which supermarket deserves to be crowned best produce retailer. We feel it brings extra transparency and credibility to the award, and will be a much-anticipated part of what will be an exciting and highly enjoyable evening.”
