Produce World took time out at the Great Yorkshire Show to answer questions from the general public on potatoes and carrots.
A variety of exhibits were on display with cooking demonstrations held throughout the day on the Sainsbury's stand to show versatility of both conventional and organic Yorkshire fresh produce.
Stuart Nelson, marketing director for Produce World, said: “We are very keen to not only provide the best quality in fresh produce, but to educate the consumers into all aspects of the supply chain ñ from the origins of the produce to the best ways to store it in the home to retain quality and flavour.”
One of Produce World's organic farmers was on hand to field questions from the public. Peter Richards, whose Yorkshire farm is dedicated to organic production, said: “Supporting Sainsbury's on their cooking demonstration stand at this prestigious local show provided an excellent opportunity to educate and inform the general public, in a fun and entertaining environment.”
