Wilson’s Country Ltd, one of Northern Ireland’s leading produce suppliers, has selected the Pr2 software solution from Prophet, the main sponsor of this year’s Re:fresh Conference.
With a pallet-tracked warehouse and manufacturing system fully integrated with buying and production planning, the system offers Wilson’s a single solution to handle volume in potatoes and processing and pack salad and fruit for supermarkets.
Lewis Cunningham (pictured with Michael Hetherington of Prophet plc), told the Journal: “The key issues for Wilson’s in choosing an ERP system were to achieve a high degree of fit to our business, have the flexibility to easily adapt to our future requirements, and most importantly to be continuously developed. After a selection process spanning nine months involving 10 companies, we selected Pr2 from Prophet.”
He added: “The Prophet team showed its state-of-the-art ERP system and that with its depth of industry knowledge, experience and track record, it could add and improve to our existing business processes.
“Prophet got into our business processes, used our real data and demonstrated the system in action at Wilson’s Country. This gave the directors real confidence that Pr2 was the right choice for the business and not just another out-of-the-box system.”
