Ilpak will demonstrate new ways for potato suppliers to increase efficiency and productivity at Potato 2003. The machine to be shown is the Vegatronic 1000, which offers packing solutions for all types of potato. A spokesman for the company said: "The Vegatronic 1000 can help significantly improve productivity. It is exceptionally easy to use and can help to offer cost savings over flow wrappers."
The machine can produce up to 70 pillow bags a minute and uses both heat-sealable and polyethylene films. It has an OMRON touch screen and can store 20 pre-programmed size changes.
