Plus Pack has introduced new sizes to SquarePac; its range of ready-to-serve plastic packaging with unique tamper-evident closures.
The leading European packaging manufacturer has designed SquarePac primarily for fresh salads and fruit and is aimed towards the growing UK convenience market.
The range is now available in seven sizes of container, from 150-ml to 1000ml, in a square design available in clear or a black/clear. The new 500ml tray has been designed to allow a fork to be inserted into the lid cavity.
The thermoformed plastic containers have a close-fit lid, which can only be removed once the tamper-evident seal has been broken - a feature increasingly demanded by the major multiples.
The SquarePac containers are made from APET and are designed to be placed directly on the dinner table rather than transferring the contents to a serving bowl.
Shawn Roberts, UK sales manager for Plus Pack, said: “Plus Pack is one of the few plastic manufacturers to have mastered the “tamper-evident” technology within thermoforming, and we expect the market for this type of safety packaging to grow considerably as interest continues to increase in the coming years.”
