Organised by the British Potato Council (BPC), the two-day conference will examine how the British seed supply chain can continue to meet the requirements of the end user, both at home and abroad.

Seed industry experts will cover key issues from preparing and planting seed, right through to how consumers can impact each part of the supply chain.

In addition, practical focused workshops will give delegates the opportunity to discuss their own requirements with experts. Storage advice, the Scottish classification scheme, managing seed age and replantable hectares will be among some of the areas examined.

The conference's format also provides opportunities to make new contacts.

BPC seed supply chain manager Louise Chapman says space is limited so pre-booking is essential to guarantee a place. 'We are encouraged by the support the conference has received so far and feel the content reflects the professionalism of the GB potato seed industry.'
