Ian Burns

Professor Ian Burns is joining Plant Impact’s scientific advisory Board.

He currently holds a personal professorship at Warwick HRI and is an independent consultant to Warwick Crop Centre at Warwick University.

Prior to that, he was head of the nutrient and pesticides dynamics team and head of science operations at Warwick HRI.

He is also a member of the Food Standards Agency Nitrates Advisory Group.

Plant Impact’s director of product development Dr Steven Adams said: “With over 40 years’ experience in horticulture and crop nutrition Ian will be a valuable member of the team.

“Key areas of expertise include the nutrition of vegetable and ornamental crops, modelling of nutrient process in soil and crop and the impact of nutrients on the environment areas in which we are strongly focussed.”

The Scientific Advisory Board was set up in September 2009. It consists of highly experienced industry and academic professionals who support Plant Impact’s scientific and technical development.
