Over 50 delegates have so far signed up to attend the first British Herbs field day on 25 August, trade body British Growers has reported.
The event is being hosted by R&G Herbs at Millets Farm Centre, Frilford Oxfordshire. The morning session includes presentations on basil downy mildew, bio control, oomycete management and responsibly sourced growing media.
In the afternoon there will be a tour of the herb production at Millets Herbs and then demonstrations on mustards for soil management, soils, precision spraying, irrigation sensing and the Soil Association GREAT Soils project.
There are still some places available at the event, which costs £25 for British Herbs members and £45 for non-members. Students may attend for free.
To register, contact Brooke Lovelock at British Herbs on 01507 353785 or email brooke.lovelock@britishgrowers.org.
