The Philippines has opened its doors to citrus from Argentina.
Ministers from both countries signed an agreement last week that will see fruit from the South American country exported across the Pacific Ocean to the Philippines next season.
The deal is part of broader food and plant health co-operation between the countries and will see Argentina send some 3,000 containers of easy peelers between May and October next year. Moves have also advanced to open up the archipelago's market for grapes, pears and apples from the Latin American nation.
