Flower specialists are gearing up for next month’s FloraHolland Trade Fair in Naaldwijk, with wholesalers, suppliers and promotional teams throughout the industry set to attend.
The annual event, taking place on March 4-6, is expected to attract more than 5,000 trade visitors with further exhibition space for the 400 exhibitors, compared to last year’s at Aalsmeer Market.
There will be an increase in the number of flower stands and an information stand for FloraHolland Connect Cut Flowers will also be present.
More than 60 new varieties of enhanced-value cut flowers, house plants, garden plants and concepts will be presented on the new products plaza. FloraHolland will inform visitors about the process that new products go through in the From New Product to Award presentation.
An expert panel will also judge the new products and concepts per product group. The nominations will be announced shortly after the trade fair opens. The best new products will be up for the FloraHolland Award 2009 on June 8.
FloraHolland will be presenting its retail services for growers and buyers. Visitors will also have the opportunity to talk to retail specialists.
Orchids will take centre stage at this year's Trends and Retail Plaza, where a number of orchid growers will be displaying their own assortments.
