Prime irrigated land suitable for horticultural production in the Lambayeque region of Peru is going up for auction.
H2Olmos, owned by Brazilian engineering multinational Odebrecht, and the regional government in Lambayeque are offering 51 lots of 250-1,000ha with land and irrigation rights for a minimum fee of $4,250 a hectare.
The land is suitable for the production of export crops such as grapes, avocado, citrus, mango and asparagus. Interested parties must register for the public auction by 6 June.
