Foodservice supplier Pauleys has achieved the BRC global food standard for the fourth consecutive year.

The company scored its highest mark to date in the recent performance audit and so maintains its higher level status.

Pauleys said the accomplishment is the result of a process of continuous improvement -- reviewing and scrutinising quality systems and standards daily at the firm’s Northamptonshire warehouse.

Gerry Thomas, group technical director at parent company Brakes, said: “We’ve come a long way over the last few years and I’m delighted that we’ve managed to achieve this incredibly important accreditation consistently. Our technical team works to exacting standards and once again their dedication and hard work has paid off.

“The BRC accreditation means that customers can be confident that Pauleys only deals with approved suppliers; that products are safe, legal and of consistent quality.

“Customers can be assured that there is a fully auditable supply chain to allow detailed product traceability.”
