A national supplier of fresh produce based in the Northamptonshire town of Corby is to offer a local delivery service to businesses within the area.

Pauleys has introduced the new initiative to serve its local community with a first class green grocery service.

The Local Delivery Service is available to businesses within a 30-mile radius of Pauleys Corby warehouse. Customers will benefit from late ordering until 10pm, next day delivery and will receive orders on a dedicated produce vehicle to supply the freshest fruit and vegetables to their door.

The company is a supporter of local farming and seasonal produce and has established relationships with local growers, such as those growing onions and leeks in the Cambridgeshire Fens.

Marketing manager from Pauleys Rachel Sewter said: “With regional and seasonal produce at the forefront of our business ethos, it makes perfect sense to introduce a service that will serve our local community. In essence our Local Delivery Service will guarantee first-class fresh produce from a local, trusted supplier.”

The fresh produce specialist is also sponsoring its local charity, Lakelands Day Care Hospice based in Oakley Vale, Corby. As well as conducting fund-raising events for the hospice, which provides respite day care facilities for adults in North Northamptonshire, South Leicestershire and Rutland, Pauleys also donates fresh fruit and vegetables that are not sent to customers.

The fresh produce is collected daily by hospice staff and goes towards creating nutritious meals for 20 patients every day and weekly lunches for visiting carer groups.
