Former manager of tomato grower Cornerways, Patrick Harte, has joined Eurofins Food Testing’s Wolverhampton laboratory as general manager.
Harte, who is also chair of the British Tomato Growers’ Association, has more than 10 years experience in food and fresh produce, having joined Cornerways owner British Sugar as a graduate trainee.
He will report to Eurofins’ recently-appointed MD Phil Coles, and will have responsibility for managing the daily activity of Eurofins' flagship lab in the UK. The Wolverhampton laboratory employs 250 staff and is part of Eurofins' global network of 250 laboratories across 39 countries.
In the past, Harte has worked in supply chain management, business development and, most recently, in general management at the £10 million Cornerways business.
Coles said: “Patrick is a commercially-focused manager who has achieved great results in his fast track career to date. We are delighted he has joined Eurofins to oversee the Wolverhampton laboratory and help further strengthen its position as a top class testing partner for all sectors of the food industry.”
