The New Europe: the European Union Expands Eastwards

Since the fall of the "Iron Curtain" Europe has faced major political and economic changes. In May 2004 eight countries of Central and Eastern Europe, together with Malta and Cyprus, will be joining the European Union. The Hall Forum will bring to light implications that this will have for international fruit and vegetable retailers. An international panel will discuss the questions and opportunities facing businesses and the consumers in this new Europe.
