Packaging show set for Birmingham

Top companies are adding their names to the rapidly growing exhibitor list for Total Processing & Packaging 2010, with bookings and enquiries continuing to grow as companies finalise their marketing plans for the year.

Exhibition director Ian Crawford said: “The great success of the PPMA Show has clearly demonstrated that although the recession is not yet over, things are certainly starting to pick up in the sector and this bodes very well for an equally successful Total Processing & Packaging exhibition next May.

“This three-yearly event, which incorporates the PPMA Show, along with a number of other popular features such as the Packaging Innovation hub, offers exhibitors the only chance in 2010 to demonstrate their products and services to the largest gathering of industry professionals in the UK. It will provide the ideal forum for serious buyers to source the latest innovations in processing and packaging materials, equipment and services.”

A key feature of the Packaging Innovation hub will be a wide-ranging seminar programme with particular emphasis on the latest issues affecting the food and drink sector. Potential topics are likely to cover waste minimisation, sustainability, consumer and retail trends, and the impact of current and forthcoming legislation.

Speakers will include leading industry figures and representatives from blue-chip companies, government bodies, pressure groups and retailers.

The event takes place from May 25-27, 2010, at the NEC in Birmingham.
