Packaging show set for 19th instalment

The 19th annual PPMA Show will take place at Birmingham NEC this autumn, showcasing the latest innovations in processing and packaging machinery.

Running from September 26-28, the event attracts the single largest gathering of industry professionals in the UK. So far, 90 per cent of space has been sold to over 300 exhibitors displaying a range of machines, including weighers, labellers and refrigeration equipment

A Technical Information Centre will be on hand for visitors to find out product details to help them better-plan their day, compare kit, and make purchasing decisions, organisers said.

There will also be a series of seminars featuring talks and interactive sessions from consultants on sales and marketing, human resources and staff training.

In the run up to the show, those attending will also be able to arrange meetings with friends, colleagues and exhibitors via the show’s dedicated website www.ppmashow.co.uk.

This year, complementary tool and materials suppliers will also have the chance to exhibit so that buyers can assess the whole production line before making a machinery purchase.

“The machinery sector is very dynamic, with manufacturers continually responding to new demands from customers for greater efficiencies, higher speeds and further integration, or to devise solutions for new pack or product types,” said James Coleman, PPMA Show marketing manager.

“Visitors to the PPMA Show will have an opportunity to see for themselves the very latest equipment and discuss their specific requirements with knowledgeable suppliers, who are experts in their fields.”
