A leading IT provider is celebrating after landing a new major client in Outspan Fresh.
The citrus supplier has implemented the LinkFresh business management solution from Microsoft Gold Partner, Anglia Business Solutions.
Outspan Fresh, a provider of juicing equipment and the raw materials for squeezing fresh juice on site, has ambitious plans to grow its share of the market.
However, the company said it was being held back by a lack of integration between the various IT systems in use within the organisation.
Malcolm Cranney, IT manager, said: "We had an accounting system that looked after the finances, however, our other processes were managed by a mixture of spreadsheets and manual systems.
"This led to a duplication of information throughout the company. What we needed was a centralised business management system that provided us with one truth on what was happening with our clients and products."
He said they looked at a number of systems and it became clear the Microsoft Navison based LinkFresh solution was ideal.
"It provided us with the depth of functionality and flexibility we needed. Backed by the world's largest software company, the system includes highly advanced facilities that met our immediate needs.
"More importantly, it could grow and change as our business model evolved to meet our significant market potential."
He said since the system went live they have noticed a number of notable improvements: "The discipline enforced by Microsoft Navison has reduced the capacity for human error. We now have a centralised solution that enables us to take advantage of industry advances in e-commerce and mobile technologies.
"These will enable us to meet our growth targets without significant increases in administrative costs."
