Garden Organic, the UK’s leading organic growing charity, is inviting people to get into the Halloween mood this October at the charity’s annual Pumpkin Day.
The Pumpkin Day at Garden Organic Yalding will be held on October 27 and 28, as well as Garden Organic Ryton on October 28, from 10am to 5pm.
Visitors will be able to pick their own pumpkin or squash and have it carved into a jack-o-lantern, as well as enjoy pumpkin tasting, Halloween story-telling, and talks on owls, bats and creepy crawlies.
Kids and grown-ups alike can also veg-out at Garden Organic Ryton with the charity’s interactive educational experience, the Vegetable Kingdom, or feast on an array of pumpkin-themed dishes in the sites café and restaurant, recently awarded Britain’s Best at the Soil Association Industry Awards.
Organic Garden also runs major research and international development programmes that help commercial growers across the UK and overseas adopt organic methods.
