Bristol Harbourside is set to be transformed into an organic haven when the Soil Association promote their ‘six good reasons’ message during their Organic Food Festival.

The festival, which will kick off the Association’s Organic Fortnight, claims to be Europe’s largest celebration of all things organic, and will feature the UK’s first national organic fashion show.

Massive Attack DJ Daddy G will be on hand to entertain, with a food extravaganza giving people the opportunity to sample organic delights from over 300 exhibitors, as well as food cruises around the harbourside, a therapy room offering massages and health and beauty advice, and a special kids’ zone all among the highlights of this year’s festival.

Somerset-based organic yoghurt company Yeo Valley Organic is sponsoring the festival. The firm’s marketing director, Ben Gull, said: “Each year the festival just gets bigger and better and is now Europe’s largest organic taste experience extravaganza. Bringing all that’s good and local to Bristol and drawing people from all over the country, it provides a national focus on all that is important about organic food and sustainability.”

The festival will take place on September 1-2.
