Omex Horticulture has launched a liquid fertiliser - offering the same strength as its powder counterpart without the need for mixing - in a bid to revolutionise fertilisation methods.
Omex Flowable, which is suitable for use on a wide range of fruit, vegetables and ornamentals, has been trialled at up to 20 farms over the last two months, after being 18 months in development.
The product is available in five standard mixes, as well as in compounds that are made to order.
Mark Homer, divisional manager for Omex Horticulture, said: “Omex Flowable is more cost-effective than powder fertiliser and can save up to five hours’ labour as no mixing is needed.
“The product is completely absorbed which means that more nutrients are taken into the soil. The response we have had has been overwhelming and we can really see it proving popular next year.”
