The consortium of CVC, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, Blackstone and Texas Pacific has been granted until 5pm on April 13 by the panel to make an offer for Sainsbury’s or announce that it does not intend to make an offer. An extension to the deadline can only be granted with the consent of the panel executive.
The deadline comes from the panel following a request from Sainsbury’s advisers.
