Oakleaf European has opted for a 10 tonne refrigerated vehicle, plus a refrigerated Citroen despatch van, on full contract hire from Petit Forestier to make local deliveries.
Oakleaf European is a Bournemouth-based importer, exporter and distributor of specialist fresh produce and fine foods from around the world. It supplies wholesalers, hotels and restaurants throughout the UK with a full range of fresh produce and fine foods ranging from salads, herbs and soft fruits through to speciality cheeses, meats and exotic fresh produce from Thailand.
The contract includes all routine maintenance and servicing on the vehicles as well as 24 hour back up roadside and on-site support nationwide throughout the agreement. Oakleaf will also have access to replacement and additional vehicles as required.
A spokesman for Oakleaf European said: “We discussed options with Petit Forestier and we opted for a 10 tonne because we needed the extra payload for our local delivery operation without trading up to another 18 tonne vehicle. We also wanted a small, refrigerated van for last minute deliveries and took the Citroen despatch. Everything is working very well and because Petit are the European market leader in refrigerated vehicle hire we know that they have the resources and expertise to support our fast expanding business.”
