Nuffield to host Fertilisers for the Future event

The findings of a 12-month study into ways to reduce agriculture's reliance on manufactured fertilisers and an investigation of alternative sources of nutrition is being held.

The one-day industry event is taking place at Harper Adams University College on Thursday 19 April.

Scholars Mark Tucker and Nik Johnson will be detailing the results of the study they have been working on for a year.

Both men are established industry figures in the arena of plant nutrition.

Mark is head of agronomy at Yara UK and Nik is a Lincolnshire-based arable farmer and director of fertiliser business JSE Systems.

They will be joined by other leading industry speakers including Jo Franklin and Clive Blacker.

The event is for growers, producers and land managers with an interest in improving soil fertility and the efficiency of plant nutrition.
