Ex-Asda chief Archie Norman has moved to quash rumours that he is to join the board of Morrisons.
Responding to speculation that Morrisons deputy chairman David Jones - who is at loggerheads with Sir Ken Morrison -had approached him, Norman said he would not be interested in the job.
Norman, who enjoyed great success as Asda boss in the mid-1990s, confirmed previous stories of a boardroom fallout between Morrisons' chairman Sir Ken Jones.
"I have no intention of becoming involved in a dispute between two people [Sir Ken and Mr Jones] whom I like and respect," said Norman.
