Asda has renewed its contract with Norbert Dentressangle (ND) for the management of eight Asda service centres (ASCs) - the hub of Asda’s recycling operations - for a further five years, to support the retailer’s commitment to waste reduction.

The two companies have worked together for over 10 years already and the result is a significant reduction in the amount of waste Asda has sent to landfill.

The ASC network handles returnable transit packaging, food waste and returned goods from over 400 Asda stores throughout the UK. Returnable transit packaging and waste is collected by Asda’s vehicles and delivered to the ASCs on the return leg. ND also takes charge of washing of returnable crates.
