The British Potato Council (BPC) is seeking nominations for this year's British Potato Industry Award. The award is handed to an individual recognised for their outstanding contribution to the GB potato industry.

“This award is an opportunity for our industry to recognise those people who have made a significant contribution to its development,” commented BPC chairman David Walker.

Anyone wishing to nominate are asked to send a nomination form to the award committee secretary by July 31 2007. An award committee, drawn from the different sectors of the GB potato industry, will select the winner.

The winner will receive a sterling silver rose bowl which will be presented later in the year.
