One of the UK’s big three potato suppliers Greenvale has announced the appointment of Nick Douglas to the newly created role of head of procurement for its UK fresh potato business.
Douglas, who has a degree in Agricultural Marketing and Business Administration from Harper Adams University, joins Greenvale from G’s, where he was managing director. He has previously worked for Vitacress, PDM Produce and Fisher Chilled Foods, as well as being the current chairman of the board for the British Growers Association and a previous member of the British Onion Producers’ Association.
Douglas said: “Greenvale is an ambitious and forward-looking organisation and the opportunity to develop the company’s future procurement strategy is very exciting. I am joining a highly professional and impressive team and I am looking forward to the challenge”.
Greenvale’s CEO Angus Armstrong added: “I am delighted to welcome Nick to the business. With his appointment we are clearly looking to the future for Greenvale.
