The NFU has unveiled Hayley Campbell-Gibbons as its new chief horticultural adviser.

Campbell-Gibbons is currently the NFU’s chief dairy adviser, a position she has held since 2008. Her start date in the new role is yet to be confirmed as she replaces Philip Hudson, who has been promoted to head of food and farming.

She played a key role in the NFU’s Great Milk Robbery investigation, was instrumental in creating the NFU’s Next Generation Dairy Board and managed the union’s 2010 Milk Contracts Campaign.

Prior to joining the NFU, Campbell-Gibbons started her career in countryside management with local government and also spent two years working on environmental and agricultural skills issues with sector skills council Lantra.

She holds an honours degree in Geography from the University of Birmingham and has also completed a Masters Degree in Rural Policy.
