The National Farmers Union has announced the appointment of a new plant health adviser.

Don Pendergrast, started with the NFU science and regulatory team last week.

He joins from the National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB) in Cambridge where he worked for several years as a forage and herbage crops co-ordinator. He brings with him a wide experience of crop technology, crop management and agro-chemical related issues. Pendergrast also has significant experience in policy making with DEFRA on plant and crop management related issues.
