NFU announces new team

The NFU has announced details of a team of new spokesmen and women who have been assigned to represent the organisation on key issues.

The posts have been created as part of the NFU review that was announced earlier this year, which aims to make the organisation more democratic.

Post holders include: Michael Seals for food standards, Harry Johnson and Tim Jolly for water issues, Peter Hall for organics and Julian Hasler for pesticides.

NFU deputy president Tim Bennett, said: “There is a vital need for the NFU to be represented on particular issues or subjects. These people have been chosen by the national policy board to carry out this essential function and will be responsible to the board.”
