NFU plant health advisor Paul Chambers has died, aged 49.
Chambers held the position in the policy services department since joining the union in March 2007 until his death in a tragic accident at home earlier this month.
Tributes have poured into the NFU from the industry while horticulture and potatoes board chairman Sarah Pettitt described him as a “true professional” and added “he was a real asset to the UK food chain. I will miss him”.
