Clematis Zojogo 'Jolly Good'

Numerous new varieties will be on show at the upcoming Plantarium show in the Netherlands.

Among these will be numerous clematis from Dutch grower J can Zoest in Boskoop, who is introducing four new winter hardy cultivars at the event, ‘Zostiwa’ (Still Waters), ‘Zojapur’ (Mackmanii Purpurea), ‘Zoiamladyq’ (I am Lady Q) and ‘Zojogo’ (Jolly Good).

Among many other products on show will be Skimmia japonica ‘Magic Marlot’, which features initial champagne coloured buds in August, changing to pink as the season progresses.

Acer palmatum ‘Marlo’ is presented for the first time this year, a compact Acer that distinguishes itself from others by the variegated leaves that grow all along the entire branch.

Van Vliet New Plants of Stroe will showcase five new plants, Gentianas ‘Braemar’ and ‘Balmoral’, Coprosma ‘Lemon and Lime’, Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Pirates Gold’, and Ilex crenata ‘Golden Rock’. The latter evergreen ilex is a mutant of I. crenata ‘Golden Gem’, growing upright with yellow leaves. The flowers are said to be unobtrusive.
