Bradford-based supermarket chain Morrisons has appointed Martyn Jones as trading director.
Jones has been handed the remit of controlling all aspects of trading and supply chain operations. He has worked at Morrisons since 1990, when he joined as trading manager for frozen foods. He was promoted to trading operations director in 1993, grocery director in 1997 and then senior trading director in 2002. Late last year, he took on the responsibilities of former managing director Marie Melnyk when she left the company.
