European packaging manufacturer Plus Pack, is launching a range of ready-to-serve plastic packaging for the UK convenience market.
The SquarePac range is suitable for mixed green salads and sliced fruit as well as delicatessen take aways.
The plastic packaging incorporates five sizes of square container, from 250ml to 1000ml in a square design.
The packaging is stackable to ease on-shelf or refrigerated display arrangements.
The thermoformed plastic containers also have a tamper-evident closure.
Shawn Roberts, UK Sales Manager for Plus Pack said: “Plus Pack is one of the few plastic manufacturers to have mastered the “tamper-evident” technology within thermoforming, and we expect the market for this type of safety packaging to grow considerably as interest continues to increase in the coming years.”
Consumers are increasingly prioritising food safety as well as packaging “which should ideally be attractive enough to place directly on the dinner table,” he added.
