A new smoothie launched last month is taking high-end retailers and the mothers market by storm.

Nina’s Savse Raw Smoovie boasts that consumers are getting two of their 5 A DAY with each 250ml, £2.49 serving.

The product is available in three varieties; Super Red, Super Green and Super Purple and claims to be a revolution in the marketplace by mixing vegetables with fruit to make them more palatable. Super Red contains 150ml of orange juice, 80ml of strawberry pulp and 5ml each of kale, spinach, broccoli and celery pulps and purees. Super Purple contains 150ml of apples juice, 80ml of beetroot puree, 8ml of lemon juice, 5ml of lime juice, 5ml of mango puree, 1ml of avocado puree and 1ml of red pepper juice. While Super Green contains 150ml of pear juice, 80ml of broccoli puree, 5ml each of kiwifruit, lemon and banana pulp, juice and puree, 4ml of kale pulp and 1ml of spinach juice.

A pressurised production process is used rather than pasteurisation.

The recipes have been developed by a Georgian family based in London building on their own home tradition for combined fruit and vegetable drinks.

They are available in select stores and cafés such as Harrods, Selfridges, Planet Organic and Fortnum & Mason in London, the south east and Birmingham.
