CHA to support British companies at international exhibitions

The Commercial Horticultural Association (CHA) has secured over £100,000 under the UK Trade & Investment’s Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP) to support UK horticulture firms exhibiting at overseas trade shows.

The funding will help UK-based fresh produce companies increase export opportunities by appearing at international events at discounted rates.

CHA’s funding will be focused on events including Fruit Logistica, taking place 6-8 February 2013 in Berlin, and the CHA claims eligible exhibitors will reclaim between £1,000 and £1,400 against their costs for exhibiting at the event.

Other supported events include IFTEX Kenya 2012, Salon du Vegetal 2013, and IPM Essen 2013.

A CHA spokesperson said: "Our UK Pavilions on offer at each of these shows offer a platform for companies wishing to take their first steps into export or new overseas markets.

"More experienced exporters and exhibitors will benefit from the higher level of exposure and promotional opportunities of being part of a larger, co-ordinated group presence."
