Former dairy and drinks industry specialist Tim Watson has been named as the new commercial director at Mack Fruit.
Watson joins Mack from Müller Milk, where he was business unit head with responsibility for retailer relationships. Before that he spent five years at Dairy Crest, first as a national account manager for Tesco, before moving to become marketing and commercial manager and then a business unit director.
From 2001 to 2010 Watson worked in a series of drinks industry roles at major names including Heineken, Anheuser-Busch InBev and Shepherd Neame.
At Mack, Watson will have overall responsibility for developing the sales strategy, as well as the management of customer partnerships and the procurement of products.
'Whilst new to fresh produce, Tim’s experience in retail account development is extensive and there are many synergies,' said Fresca chief executive Ian Craig. 'We welcome Tim to Mack Fruit and wish him well in his career with Fresca Group.'
