New chairman for The Greenery

Pieter Berkhout (60) has been named as chairman of the board of directors of The Greenery bv, with effect from September 3.

He succeeds Dr CP Veerman, who is Dutch cabinet minister for agriculture, nature management and food quality.

Following his legal studies in Leiden in The Netherlands, Berkhout spent most of his career working for Shell, where he most recently held the position of director of Shell Germany.

As well as holding the position of non-executive chairman of The Greenery, Berkhout is also head of the Motorhuis Group in Leiden.
