New business ideas can win £20,000

Entrepreneurs and new ventures in the food and drink sector can win £20,000 in the Business Start-up Competition run by Leatherhead Food International and the Leatherhead Enterprise Centre (LEC).

The competition is open to both individuals and newly formed companies with a creative commercial business proposition for the sector. The winner will receive office-space at LEC in Surrey with six-months free rent, cash awards, office furniture, a PR package, and other service such as legal, graphic design, training and access to lab facilities.

All entrants will also have the chance to win in one of four sponsored special category classes in the food and drink industry which are: Ingredients technology, Retail and Food marketing, Nutrition, allergens and health and Manufacturing and Food technology.
