The World Food Awards has added a new category to its prestigious competition for ethnic food.
British wholesalers and catering suppliers of ethnic produce are being encouraged to enter the awards, which take place on 2 November.
The deadline for entries is 31 July and open to anyone supplying products or produce from the following communities: Asian, Oriental, African, Afro-Caribbean, European, east European, Middle Eastern, South American and Mediterranean.
Last year’s awards saw the likes of supermarket giant Tesco, leading eatery Hakkasan and exotic drinks brand Rubicon, among a host of other well known and respected brands from the world foods sector, walking away with the highly coveted awards.
